My Side of the Mountain (1969)

bowser's review: COA

Plot Summary: Twelve-year-old Sam (Teddy Eccles) wants to grow up to be a scientist. He runs away from home to see if he can survive in the wilderness. He and his pet raccoon, Gus, and pet falcon, Frightful, have some great adventures.

My Side of the Mountain is a wonderful coming-of-age film. Teddy Eccles is excellent! An absolutely great movie about a boy out in the wild. A must see film!

Stunningly beautiful cinematography in Scope! Great sound mix (in mono, there's just something unusually great about mono). Filmed on location in beautiful Knowlton, Québec.

Rated G: (implied) violence
